Information about orthodontics
Orthodontics, sometimes called dentofacial orthopaedics, is a special part of dentistry that deals with straightening teeth and influencing bone growth.
It is concerned with facial growth, with the development of dentition (teeth) and occlusion (your bite), and the diagnosis, interception and treatment of malocclusion.
Benefits of private care include:
- No waiting lists ,so treatment can begin right away.
- Increased treatment options of aesthetic or 'invisible' braces.
- You do not need a referral from your dentist for a consultation.
- More sophisticated methods of treatment are available.
We are proud to be the largest NHS provider for orthodontic care in our local area since 1974.
I work closely with the local authorities to have short or no waiting list ,and offer access for those needing treatment and advice free at point of service.
